Buenos Aires
At over 450 feet wide, Avenida 9 Julio is the widest avenue in the world. It was named in honour of Argentina's birthdate, July 9, 1816 and the Obelisk was built in 1936 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city.
