Geneva Travel Guide

by our Switzerland expert Paul Baderman
Paul BadermanVery much a world hub, thanks to the many international bodies it is home to, the city is extremely handsome in its own right, helped by the location on Lake Geneva (‘Lac Leman’ signs are for the French-speakers). The lake is one of the largest in Europe and adds much to local and tourist life. The down-town financial and global organisations have provided some excellent modern architecture while the surrounding Alpine countryside is highly attractive, summer and winter - nearest ski-ing, less than an hour by car.
