Faro Travel Guide

by our Portugal expert Conrad Freethy
Conrad FreethyIt is easy to forget that Faro has much more to offer than the Algarve's international airport. The attractive walled city, with its narrow cobbled streets and Lago de Se, begs to be explored, and is all that remains of the old city which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1755. Add to this a pretty harbour, ample shopping, bars and resturants and Faro becomes a very appealing place to visit.
