Noto Travel Guide

by our Italy expert Paul Baderman
Paul BadermanNoto is unlike any town you will ever have visited. With streets laid out in a grid system you expect to find a modern city, but instead at every corner turned you are treated to yet another Sicilian baroque style building from the early 1700s. Indeed, even with the briefest amble through the streets of this "Stone Garden" it will not take you long to appreciate why it's a UNESCO World Heritage site. And when you've had your fill of honey stone buildings, it's just a short trip down to the equally golden sandy beach of the Lido di Noto.
